Downtown Walkability Study Coming to Vinita

Thanks to a partnership with the Oklahoma Municipal League, Vinita city leaders are partnering with University of Oklahoma IQC staff and students to seek ideas to achieve a more walkable downtown that is friendly to locals and visitors. The site visit and report will focus on physical improvements and program concepts that will improve the walkability of downtown Vinita and surrounding neighborhoods, with an emphasis on these topics:
Street design interventions
Public space activation
Wayfinding
The team objectives include low-cost, short-term implementation strategies as well as long-term visions. Watch for opportunities to meet the OU team and provide feedback on Tuesday, November 14 and Wednesday, November 15.
