The Vinita Area Chamber of Commerce invites the public to its second Lunch & Learn event of the year. “Lunch & Learn: Getting and Keeping the Right Employees” will be held on July 10, 2018, from noon to 1:00pm at Home of Hope, 960 West Hope Avenue in Vinita. April Blackwell, a Business Development Coordinator/Trainer at Northeast Tech Business and Industry Services, will be leading the session. “I’ve talked with several business owners lately about their struggles finding good employees,” says Monica Bagwell, VACC Executive Director. “April is going to have a lot of straightforward, practical advice we can all use.” The deadline to register is July 9. Original Will Rogers Memorial Rodeo Parade Accepting Entries

The Original Will Rogers Memorial Rodeo Parade will kick off rodeo week in Vinita on August 22, 2018. “American Spirit the Will Rogers Way” is this year’s theme. The parade will take place in Downtown Vinita starting at 11:00am. Hundreds of spectators will line the streets as over 100 parade entries march down Historic Route 66. Entries for this year’s parade are now being accepted. Horses, floats, antique cars, and more are welcome to join local marching bands, the Shriners, local fire departments, the Craig County Sheriff, elected officials, and others. Vinita Fireworks Show Set for June 29

Celebrate America's Independence with your family and friends at the 6th Annual Bob McSpadden Memorial Annual Fireworks Show. Join the crowds at Vinita Hornets Memorial Stadium for this free show on Friday, June 29. Gates will open at 7:30 pm and the fireworks start at dusk. General admission is free. Arrive early to enjoy the food trucks, music, and activities for the kids. There will be a color guard demonstration and the singing of the national anthem before the show begins. Vinita Route 66 Festival Takes Place Downtown June 15 & 16

Vinita invites all to celebrate Historic Route 66 with its fourth annual festival on Friday, June 15 and Saturday, June 16. This fourth annual Vinita Route 66 Festival is sure to please everyone in the family with a variety of events and live music. Friday night is a Block Party from 6:00 pm to 10:00 pm. Everyone can enjoy the food trucks, inflatables, and family games. "Whiskey Poet Society" will take the stage a 7:00 pm. The festival continues Saturday from 8:00 am until 2:00 pm.
